Looking at the "Musi"

1980s: Looking at the “Musi”

The “Musi” are a chain of mountains north of Tarcento where Lucatello used to live. For a long time he used to go there to study, to contemplate and to look for answers, at all hours of the day and at every change in the weather conditions. The issue that fascinated him is light, the vital element for the existence of the world and everything in it. The aim of his persistent research was to underline the obvious, that is to say that through light, nature reaches it’s triumph. In these first “Musi”, the artist’s eye works it way into the cracks of the mountain. It wants to bring into the open that “patch” that is trying, in vain, to escape.
