It is a lie that history has meaning, that it is able to lead
us somewhere. The essence of history has been a continuum, a never
ending monotonous repetition of oppression both physical and psychological.
We know only too well that there is always a choice, an alternative,
a different way forward and yet the powers that be, with their
insatiable appetite for control are unable to renounce their ways.
Rationalism is rigorous and intellectually demanding and is of
no interest to power, which will stop at nothing to defend itself,
battling until the last throes of death, to the point even of
becoming parody.
Freedom is a word which has become completely devoid of meaning.
Never before has the corruption of the mind been so insidious.
