Late 1970s: This is also nature |
|
|
The compact, square or rectangular patches
that indulge in a wide range of greens, or blacks, or browns
that become references, almost signs of agreement but very deep
and intense in their fixed geometry. Neither are paintings less
lyrical, as confronted with an eternal, immutable appearance,
metaphysical and mystic, there is the ascertainment of the slow
and continuous unravelling of reality over time. The brief,
smooth strokes and the colours that they are composed of vibrate
like irresistible musical phrases. They transmit clear messages
that have already been repeated many
times. |
